Unlike wards, MSOAs are of regular size and are not subject to regular boundary change. The minimum population of Middle Layer SOAs is 5000 and the average is 7200. The new boundaries for MSOA's were published in October 2012 for the release of the Census 2011 data. There are now 138 MSOA's in Nottinghamshire of which 38 are in Nottingham City.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
